Today, ordering your favorite pizza is faster and easier than it’s ever been.
The delivery chain “Domino’s Pizza” is launching its voice-ordering pizza service through Amazon’s Echo device. This service is being called an “industry first” and GPS tracking is also being introduced as well for tracking the chain’s pizzas.
Domino’s new GPS delivery tracking device is being supported by the new Amazon “skill” where customers in certain locations can use the Amazon Echo and ask Alexa to tell them where their pizza order is down to the exact minute.
According to David Wild, Chief executive, British customers are cautious more than ever about the present economic outlook, however, he went on to say the company’s main focus is on growth investment.
In the beginning of 2017, Domino’s Pizza Group has been experiencing good progress despite the uncertainty of the economic environment of the UK, Wild said.
Wild said they’ve experienced a record 6 months in the UK, opened up an additional 40 brand-new stores and therefore have raised their expectations to 90 from 80 this year. He says he’s delighted that they’ll be opening their 1,000th British unit shortly and are right on track for achieving their 1,600 objective.
Domino’s Pizza, according to Wild, continues to have an edge on the pizza market due to its newer, cutting-edge innovations like their Facebook Messenger service, the launch of their ordering by emoji, the popular Lotta-Chocca pizza, and their newest launch of voice ordering through Amazon Echo. Amazon and Domino’s signed a deal that now allows you to use their voice activated devices to place your order with just one command.
You’ll need to follow three simple steps to order your pizza and even their new chocolate dessert pizza. These steps are:
- Go to Domino’s website to set up your “Easy Order” account.
- Use the Alexa app to enable the Domino’s Skill.
- Once you link your Domino’s account with your Alexa account, you’re ready to voice order your favorite Dominos items.
And, don’t forget you have all the other essential commands that are simple too, including:
“Alexa, ask Domino’s to feed me.”
“Alexa, ask Domino’s to track my order.”
“Alexa, ask Domino’s where my pizza is.”
After their successful trial, Dominos will then roll out their GPS delivery tracking that’ll let you track your delivery and help stores manage their labor.
According to Dominos, by introducing their GPS delivery tracking it will provide the franchise with “significant labor savings” while also improving the overall experience of online customers.

49240484 – sales force
Operating an outside sales force might feel like playing a game of roulette. You never know what you’re really going to get from your team – or even if they’re actually taking care of company business. GPS fleet tracking can help you make sure they’re on the right course while boosting sales, and profits, for everyone.
These are just a few small ways it can help your outside sales force perform better.
Plan More Efficient Routes
This one step covers a lot of territory. No pun intended. When you plan routes more efficiently, you can make sure that everyone is operating within his or her own protected territories, all sales force staff are able to manage their time more efficiently, and that they can see more potential customers within a day – boosting not only their incomes, but also profits for your business. Other benefits to consider when it comes to more efficient routing include better fuel efficiency, more face-to-face time with customers, and less travel time.
Better Accountability
Outside sales is driven by accountability. In the past, you’ve had to trust that your sales team is driven by a desire to earn bigger and better profits and staying on task to meet that goal. GPS fleet tracking allows you to ensure that your team is staying on task so that you can eliminate team members that aren’t pulling their weight to make room for those who will make their appointed rounds, stay within their designated territories, and follow the routes you’ve established for them.
Increase Safety
Another aspect of accountability is safety. It matters when your people spend so much time on the road each day. GPS fleet management allows you to monitor company vehicles to ensure they are driving within the speed limit, not driving aggressively (hard braking, swerving, etc.), and that they aren’t taking unnecessary risks in your vehicles that could cause accidents, damage your public image, and place your business at risk of liability issues. Most importantly of all, GPS tracking facilitates swift response when accidents occur by offering the precise location of the accident.
GPS tracking offers a wide range of benefits for outside sales forces. In addition to the benefits mentioned above, GPS fleet tracking can help you with record keeping for taxes, mileage reimbursement, and more. With so many benefits associated with GPS tracking for outside sales forces, the big question is why you haven’t incorporated it into your business yet?

A more aerodynamic truck burns less fuel, saving your business a ton of money over the course of a year. New Zealand based Driving Test suggests that nearly 20 percent of fuel consumption for trucks is the result of them attempting to overcome air resistance, which is mainly due to the brick-like shape and high coefficient of drag.
Making a few changes can greatly improve the aerodynamics of trucks in your fleet resulting in huge savings for your entire organization each year. Incorporate these changes and watch your fuel savings add up fast!
Consider SOLUS Drag Reduction Devices
The Department of Energy’s Inventions and Innovation Program helped to develop SOLUS drag reduction devices that reduce drag and improve fuel efficiency on large tracks by up to 10 percent at 60 miles per hour. This one change can net your organization savings of 1,000 gallons of fuel per truck per year easily. The more trucks you have in your fleet, the bigger your savings may be.
Install Cab Roof Fairings
Most trailers are taller than the cab of the trucks pulling them. This creates a rather large flat area of resistance to the wind, which means your truck has to work harder to maintain the same speed. Installing a fairing deflects that air up and over the body of the trailer, effectively easing the resistance.
Reduce Your Gap
Reducing the gap between your tractor and your trailer can help to save a great deal of fuel each year. One study found that you could conserve 50 gallons of fuel each year by simply reducing the area of the gap from 36 to 24 inches.
Wear a Skirt
At least put a skirt on your truck. RTS Courier Services reports that side skirts on trailers works to reduce air flowing underneath the trailers which nets you between four and seven percent in fuel savings each year. Depending on the size of your fleet, these savings can be significant.
The more of these steps you take to improve the aerodynamics of your fleet trucks, the greater your savings will be. However, you can increase your fuel savings even further by implementing a GPS fleet tracking system that will help you plan more efficient routes, hold your drivers accountable to safe and fuel-efficient driving habits, and helping you to avoid unnecessary downtime due to heavy traffic, accidents, and other road hazards. It is one more step that can deliver impressive results when it comes to cutting fuel costs for your entire organization.
