GPS technology being used to track down vehicles after the car loan has defaulted.
Many dealerships cater to individuals who have a bad or no credit rating, but need a vehicle. This might be someone who needs a job, but can’t get one without reliable transportation. These buyers are known as “high-risk borrowers” because they need a car loan without having credit or collateral. Dealerships have their own reasons for giving loans to high-risk borrowers, but they do pose a higher risk.

Study uses GPS tracking technology to monitor and protect the hirola antelope.
The Evolutionary Distinct and Globally Endangered (EDGE) project is constantly making new development to save endangered species; this includes the hirola antelope, which is currently listed as “critically endangered” on the animal conservation status list. The main method the conservationists and researchers are using to preserve the rare animal is global positioning systems (GPS). They hope that by using GPS to track their movements, researchers will be able to use the data to protect the antelope.
The hirola antelope is the most endangered and rare antelope in the world. It is the only survivor from what was once a very diverse group of antelopes. It is so endangered, in fact, that it is sometimes referred to as a “living fossil”.

Vehicle accidents are the leading cause of teen deaths — even more so with multiple passengers in the car. A recent study, conducted by the AAA Foundation for Traffic Safety has found some startling statistics in this regard.
The study revealed that 16 and 17 year old drivers with a passenger under 21 in their vehicle are 44 percent more likely to get into a fatal accident. Two or more passengers under 21 doubles the risk. The numbers quadruple with three or more passengers under 21 in the vehicle.
On the other end of the spectrum, teens who have at least one passenger in the car age 35 or older, have a 62% less chance of getting into a fatal accident. Read the rest of this entry »

Los Angeles Better Business Bureau – BBB Really?
12 Mar 2013We have been member’s of the Southland Better Business Bureau for a long time. As a BBB member we pay yearly dues, which supports the organization. Tonight, we received the below email which affects all BBB Members in Los Angeles, thousands if not tens of thousands of companies!
After we received this email – I’m seriously questioning whether our membership with this organization will continue. They’ve apparently closed the Los Angeles chapter of the Better Business Bureau. Apparently, the National Council of BBB’s set up a new site, la.bbb.org.
Now, the new website still lists our corporation – but, as far as ratings go – its not being displayed, as is for the other thousands of businesses in Los Angeles. When a prospective client of ours now checks our “ratings” – they see “not rated”, which in my mind is cause for concern.
We put our trust in a company that builds trust. After reading the breaking news on this story, it appears that the Southland Chapter of the Better Business Bureau were doing things that we not in compliance with the National Council of BBB’s. Pretty pathetic.
The letter we along with every member of the BBB received in Los Angeles is below:
