The amount of pollination from bees is on decline and researchers want to know why. They have turned to GPS tracking due to the success this technology has had for other tracking and monitoring projects by researchers and scientists.

Global positioning systems (GPS) provide everything from navigation to civilians and the military to monitoring animal activity and finding stolen vehicles or goods. In the past, it has been used for things such as monitoring animals that are at risk of extinction and catching poachers of such animals. Now, researching want to utilize this advanced technology for monitoring the bumblebee’s behavior and find out why their pollination numbers have dwindled.
