Standard Messaging
The SmartOne C reports its position at regular intervals programmed to your specification. Its internal motion sensor can trigger an independent, faster interval whenever the asset is moving – for example, once every 24 hours at rest and every 2 hours in motion.
Reduced Messaging with Change of Location alerts
For assets that live in a yard or depot, the SmartOne C can be set with a Change of Location Area. While the asset stays inside its area, it reports on a reduced schedule to conserve battery and messages. The moment it leaves – say, a trailer pulling out of the depot – it sends a Change of Location alert, then reports on your chosen transit interval until it settles at its next location.
From satellite to your screen
Positions are transmitted from the SmartOne C over the Globalstar satellite network to a ground station, then delivered to your secure, password-protected LiveViewGPS account as actionable tracking data. Each message is sent three times to ensure delivery – duplicates are automatically discarded – so your reports arrive reliably even from the middle of nowhere.
