LiveView Dash Cam AI

See the road and the driver. Stop risky driving as it happens.

Most fleet managers find out about a risky driving habit after the damage is done: a claim, a complaint or a phone call from the road. The LiveView Dash Cam AI catches it while there is still time to change the outcome.

It records the road ahead and the driver in one compact unit. Its onboard AI watches for risky driving and warns the driver with a voice alert the moment it happens, so problems get corrected in the cab instead of after a claim.

What it watches for

In the cab
  • ✔ Driver distraction
  • ✔ Drowsiness
  • ✔ Cellphone use
  • ✔ Smoking
  • ✔ Seatbelt use
  • ✔ A covered or blocked camera
On the road
  • ✔ Unsafe following distance
  • ✔ Pedestrians and cyclists
  • ✔ Hard acceleration, hard braking and impacts

How it works

  1. Plug it in. The camera connects to the vehicle's OBD port and calibrates itself.
  2. Tell us your setup. Choose which alerts you want on a short form after you order.
  3. Drivers get alerts in the cab. The AI runs on the camera itself, so voice warnings play right away, in English or Spanish.
  4. Review events from anywhere. Recorded events upload to a secure online platform you can open from any device, with apps for iOS and Android.

Why fleets choose it

  • ✔ Correct it in the moment: a voice alert reaches the driver while the risky behavior is happening, not in a meeting days later.
  • ✔ See what really happened: when there's an incident, you have video of the road and the driver instead of two different stories.
  • ✔ Coach with real examples: use recorded events to show drivers exactly what to work on.
  • ✔ Your rules: turn the inside camera and microphone on or off, and choose which alerts drivers hear and see.
  • ✔ See in the dark: an infrared sensor keeps the driver view working at night.
  • ✔ Nothing extra to manage: cellular data is included, so there's no separate SIM or data plan.
  • ✔ Ready for the job: rated from -40°F to 185°F, and it updates over the air.

Built for working fleets

  • ✔ Trucking and logistics
  • ✔ Service fleets: HVAC, plumbing and electrical
  • ✔ Oil and gas
  • ✔ Passenger transport
  • ✔ Waste management

LiveView Dash Cam AI FAQs

What is the LiveView Dash Cam AI?

It's a dual-lens dash camera with road-facing and driver-facing cameras. Its onboard AI watches for risky driving and warns the driver with in-cab voice alerts.

What does it detect?

Driver distraction, drowsiness, cellphone use, smoking, seatbelt use and a covered camera in the cab. On the road, it detects unsafe following distance, pedestrians and cyclists, hard acceleration, hard braking and impacts.

How does it install?

It plugs into the vehicle's OBD port and calibrates itself.

How much does it cost?

The camera is $399 and service is $35 per month per camera, with cellular data included. Ground shipping is free.

Is there a contract?

No. Service is month to month, with no contract.

What is the warranty?

The camera comes with a 12-month warranty.

Is there a satisfaction guarantee?

Yes. The LiveView Dash Cam AI comes with a 30-day satisfaction guarantee.

Do I need a SIM card or a data plan?

No. The SIM and cellular data are included in the monthly service.

Can I turn off the inside camera or the microphone?

Yes. Both can be turned on or off, and you also choose which alerts are active.

What language are the voice alerts in?

English or Spanish. You choose on your setup form.

Does it work at night?

Yes. It uses Sony Starvis camera sensors, and an infrared sensor keeps the driver view working in low light.

How often does it update location?

About every 30 seconds in a straight line, and about every 2 to 5 seconds through curves and turns.

How much video does it store?

The standard 128 GB holds about 36 to 40 hours of video, depending on recording settings. Larger storage must be chosen when ordering, because it can't be upgraded later.

How do I review video?

Recorded events upload to a secure online platform you can open from any device, and there are mobile apps for iOS and Android.

Can I get email notifications?

Yes, for covered camera, fatigue or distraction, safe distance and shock events. You choose which ones and who receives them.

How do I choose my settings?

After you place your order, you fill out a short setup form with your choices. You can see all the options on the More Info tab.

Does it have alcohol detection or driver ID?

Both are coming in January. Driver ID identifies who is driving. Alcohol detection is optional, and it sends an alert only. It does not stop the vehicle from starting.
