If you are a foodie, then you’re probably familiar with the dude with the extremely blond spiked hair that drives around all over the world visiting Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives, on his show of the same name on The Food Network. Yes, I’m talking about Guy Fieri, restaurateur, best-selling author, and famous celebrity chef.<\/span><\/p>\n Besides being a lover of food, Guy loves collecting classic cars, including the 1968 red Chevrolet Camaro SS convertible that is featured on his Food Network show. He was also a proud owner of a bright-yellow Lamborghini Spyder Gallardo worth around $200,000. That is, until March of 2011 when his beloved car was stolen from British Motor Car Distributors, a San Francisco car dealership.<\/span><\/p>\n It seemed that his neon colored exotic car just vanished because cops have been trying to solve the mystery of the stolen Lambo Spyder Gallardo for over a year unsuccessfully. Finally, just last month — and over a year later — they received a break in the case.<\/span><\/p>\n The infamous Lamborghini was found in a CSI Mini storage locker in Point Richmond owned by a 17-year old boy, who was arrested earlier on a suspicious of drive-by shooting, according to TMZ. Previously, the $200,000 vehicle was seen spotted around the Bay Area in California — seemingly on joy rides — but law enforcement authorities hadn’t been able to capitalize on those sightings.<\/span><\/p>\n In addition to “Diners, Drive-ins, and Dives”, Fieri hosts “Guy’s Big Bite” and “Minute to Win It”. Guy is also expected to drive the pace car — a 2013 Chevrolet Corvette ZRI — at the Indianapolis 500 on May 27th. Topping out at a speed of 205 mph, the Chevrolet Corvette ZR1 is the fastest production car ever distributed by General Motors.<\/span><\/p>\n Fieri released the following statement after his Lamborghini was found: “I would like to thank the Marin County Sheriff’s Office and the Mill Valley Police Department for their hard work and effort in the recovery of my car,” he said. “I’m glad we can put this behind us, and feel better knowing that justice is being served.”<\/span><\/p>\n Our question to this whole incident: Why wasn’t this expensive, rare, and exotic car equipped with a GPS tracker device<\/a>, we will never know for sure. Had a GPS vehicle tracker device been installed in the Lambo, the car could have been recovered in a matter of hours, rather than over a year.<\/span><\/p>\n Watch the video here:<\/span><\/p>\n
