Major factors in this sharp uptick in auto theft are attributed to the following:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Disenfranchised youth.<\/li>\n<li>Unprecedented unemployment.<\/li>\n<li>The closing of various social services centers.<\/li>\n<li>School closings.<\/li>\n<li>Fewer cars being driven, presenting easy targets because they\u2019re not being driven around.<\/li>\n<li><\/li>\n<li>Lack of engagement and social opportunities. Kids are bored.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>With such sharp increases in auto theft around the country, it is important for car owners to take steps to protect yourself and your vehicles.
