The Henrico County man said he was going about his normal routine went out and started up his car to warm it for around 10 minutes. However, when he stepped out of his home he noticed there was someone in his car backing out of his driveway, he told Nakell Williams, 8News Reporter.<\/p>\n<p>His Dodge Neon was stolen right from under his nose and the thief left a path of destruction behind him.<\/p>\n<p>Thanks to GPS technology that he had attached to his car, Balthrop was able to track and locate his car near Creighton Road and North 38th. The thieves never knew it was attached to the Neon when they took it.<\/p>\n<p>Balthrop&#8217;s neighbor said she was having a cigarette outside and she saw a 4-door, white sedan car sitting in front of his Neon. She claimed the thieves were acting like they were trying to fix the car or give it a jump.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>The good news, the GPS feature Balthrop had on an app on his phone which he was able to track down his stolen car with, also had a feature that enabled him to shut his car off.<\/p>\n<p>Although the suspects got away, Balthrop was still happy that he was able to recover his car.<\/p>\n<p>In the meantime, Henrico Police are warning people that car thefts are an issue that is ongoing and they should never leave their car unattended while it\u2019s running.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Benefits of Personal GPS Tracking for Cars <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveviewgps.com\/gps+car+tracker.html\">GPS car tracking<\/a>, you are able to monitor your vehicle in real-time, where it is located through your Mobile Phone, Personal Computer, Laptop and iPad.
