In fact, on average, during this 72 hours, there are as many as 15 truck or bus inspections carried out every minute.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>Vehicle results for this year were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Level l inspections \u2013 78.5 percent of vehicles checked has no OOS (out of service) violations. 21.5 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<li>Inspections involving hazardous materials \u2013 87 percent of vehicles checked had no OOS violations. 13 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<li>Passenger-carrying vehicles \u2013 93.9 percent of vehicles checked has no OOS violations. 6.1 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<li>All inspections \u2013 82.2 percent of vehicles checked has no OOS violations. 17.8 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other top OOS vehicle violation percentage distributions included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Brake systems \u2013 27.4 percent<\/li>\n<li>Brake adjustment \u2013 18.3 percent<\/li>\n<li>Coupling devices \u2013 0.7 percent<\/li>\n<li>Cargo securement \u2013 6.1 percent<\/li>\n<li>Driveshaft \/ driveline \u2013 1.0 percent<\/li>\n<li>Exhausts \u2013 0.2 percent<\/li>\n<li>Fuel systems \u2013 0.3 percent<\/li>\n<li>Frames \u2013 1.2 percent<\/li>\n<li>Lighting devices \u2013 11.7 percent<\/li>\n<li>Suspensions \u2013 4.4 percent<\/li>\n<li>Steering mechanisms \u2013 2.6 percent<\/li>\n<li>Wheels \/ tires \u2013 18.5 percent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Driver results for this year were as follows:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Passenger-carrying vehicles \u2013 97.1 percent of drivers checked had no out-of-service (OOS) violations. 2.9 percent were put out of service.<\/li>\n<li>Level l inspections: 96.6 percent of drivers checked has no OOS violations. 3.4 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<li>Inspections involving hazardous materials \u2013 98.3 percent of drivers checked had no OOS violations. 1.7 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<li>All Level l, ll and lll inspections \u2013 96 percent of drivers checked had no OOS violations. 2.9 percent were put out of service<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Other top OOS driver violation percentage distributions included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>False log book \u2013 16.4 percent<\/li>\n<li>Driver age \u2013 0.0 percent<\/li>\n<li>Improper indorsement \u2013 7.7 percent<\/li>\n<li>Disqualified driver \u2013 6.2 percent<\/li>\n<li>Drugs \/ alcohol \u2013 1.0 percent<\/li>\n<li>Hours of service \u2013 46.8 percent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In addition to the above, the top OOS hazardous materials violation percentage distributions included:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Shipping papers \u2013 27.6 percent<\/li>\n<li>Placarding and transport vehicle markings \u2013 33.8 percent<\/li>\n<li>Non-bulk packaging \u2013 2.8 percent<\/li>\n<li>Loading and securement \u2013 26.2 percent<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It\u2019s important to note that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.liveviewgps.com\/fleet+tracking.html\">GPS fleet tracking<\/a> can help in terms of reducing driver violation, and can significantly help keep on top of vehicle maintenance via maintenance alerts.
