PT-10 Web User Guide

The PT-10 is as simple to use as it gets. There are no buttons, no controls, no complications.

INITIALLY CHARGE THE PT-10 FOR A MINIMUM OF 12 HRS

When moving less that 10 mph, the PT-10 will transmit ever 20 feet. If moving faster than 10 mph, the PT-10 will transmit every 10 seconds.

Login to your account at http://www.liveviewgps.net/map.aspx?cid=liveviewgps using your user ID and password.  Roll the wheel on the back of your mouse to zoom in and see the precise location of the PT-10.  Watch LIVE as the PT-10 moves.  Put your mouse over the marker to see its precise speed and heading.

To determine how much battery power is remaining in the PT-10, simply place your mouse over the marker.  Next to POWER, you will see a value ranging from 1-100, indicating the percentage of power remaining in the battery.

Up to 3000 devices may be viewed on our we-based mapping system under a single login.

If you find that your device is not performing as it should, there are three common problems.  These are:

  1. Poor satellite visibility - The internal GPS antenna may be able to see through metal.  If this is the cause, changing the location of the device to give it a better view of the sky should resolve the problem.  The GPS LED (left of RED LED) will flash yellow when it is receiving a sufficient number of satellites to provide status - this GPS lock will occur within about 1 minute when in view of satellites.
  2. The device has no power!  Check to confirm the POWER LED (Yellow - LEFT OF GPS LED) blinks periodically.  Recharge the battery to continue operation.
  3. No wireless data service - It's possible you could be in an area with poor or limited GSM wireless data service.  Consult GSM Coverage Maps to confirm.

Aside from the three cases listed above, your device should transmit its location flawlessly for years to come.
