Stolen Keg Thief Nabbed by GPS Tracking

GPS tracking devices can help to do just this according to Coon Rapids police officers who claim they used this type of tracking device to find and locate the thieves who stole kegs from the Well Sports Tavern and Grill.
The tavern made a report stating that since November 2014, four of their kegs had been stolen. Therefore, police in an attempt to capture the suspect, set up a ‘bait keg’.
On June 2, at 4 am in the morning, police were alerted that a bait keg was being stolen from the Well Sports Tavern and Grill and was heading down an alley between James Avenue and Knox Avenue in Minneapolis.
Responding to the alert, police went to the spot where they came across a minivan. They pulled the driver over and identified him as Guy Edward Osborn, 64 years of age from Minneapolis. In the back of his van, they spotted the bait keg as well as 9 other stolen kegs.
The tavern owner claimed that all of these 10 kegs were indeed taken on June 2 from the back storage area of their establishment which was a profit loss of approximately $700.
Osborn made a statement to the officers admitting that he had stolen the 10 kegs that night and on other nights as well.
Osborn is shown to have previous felony convictions back in 2012, according to court records of abetting and aiding third-degree burglary. On August 7, he was charged for theft and faces up to 5 years of prison time as well as up to $10,000 in fines if he is convicted.
